Ujjain: Life guards to receive special training in Bhopal

Ujjain: In wake of increasing accidents of drowning, a campaign ‘Mandar and no more’ has been launched recently to train life guards for any untoward situation happening near water bodies.

A drive was conducted at Narsing Ghat to encourage life gaurds to participate in the training program. Convener, Arun Dandvate said coaches from the National Institute of Sports (NIS), Ashutosh Joshi, Amit Pandey, Anokhilal Billore and Nishesh Baig will train life guards in Bhopal from April 11 to 18. Vishwanath Joshi, Harbhagwan Singh Khurana, Deepak Saxena, Milind Panhalkar and Mukesh Chaurasia will attend the training from Ujjain. The Rotary Club and Safal society from Ujjain are also contributing towards the success of the campaign.

This campaign has been launched after a 10th class student, Mandar Vedghoshe and his friend drowned in the deep waters of the Kerwa dam, Bhopal, after their exams in the year 2015.  This campaign was launched by the family members of Mandar to save lives from drowning.
