Ujjain: Over 4 lakh devotees that arrived in the city bore the brunt of mismanagement for getting into Nagchandreshwar temple, which opens once in a year, on Nagpachami. Devotees including children, elderly people, Kanwar yatries and others were forced to spend 7 to 8 eight hours to get into the temple which is located in the premises of Shri Mahakaleshwar.

According to a regular visitor in the previous year it took only four hours at the maximum for devotees to enter the temple but this year new experiment by temple management has caused inconvenience to devotees. According to new arrangements the devotees had to travel a longer route via Begum Bag. Devotees coming from outside suffered for lodging. Many devotees having VIP entry tickets also complained of delays and other inconveniences.
