Devotees thronged Ramghat, Gayakota and Siddhvat to perform tarpan at riverbanks on the occasion of Sarvpitru Amavasya on Monday. Long queues of devotees were also seen at Gayakota and Siddhnath areas to offer milk to lord Shiva with prayer to grant the eternal peace to ancestors. According to devotees traffic mismanagement posed problems in certain areas. Thousands of devotees began to reach at Gayakota and Siddhavat from early morning and performed tarpan and other rituals under the guidance of priests. Huge crowd of devotees was seen at Ramghat, Sidhhanath, Mangalnath, Gaughat and other river banks.
