Ujjain: Retaliating against the BJP’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra, Congress will start its Jan Jagran Abhiyan (campaign) Yatra from Wednesday. The Congress spokesperson said Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) acting president Jitu Patwari will lead the campaign, which will be inaugurated by Congress State president Kamal Nath from Tarana. The yatra will reach Ratlam via Ujjain and cover all assembly seats.
State youth Congress president Kunal Choudhary said during a meeting with party men, Congress will put forward all aspects of BJP’s bad governance during the last 15 years. The Congress will make people of the State aware about declarations and their present status, made by the BJP governmentduring its rule.
The State head also raised questions at the Jan AshirwadYatra over the 9000 farmers who had committed suicidein the State. “CM Chouhan is holding a Jan Ashirwad Yatra in such a situation,” he said adding that unemployment in the Statehad grown in the state during last 15 years of BJP rule.
Crimes against women had also increased in the State, he added. Choudhary also mentioned scams during the Simhastha, Narmada Yatra and Ekatmavam Shaiv Yatra. The Sate head said ‘The Vyapam scam was the biggest education scam in which many students and other involved persons were killed. Congress will ask the question on behalf of the residents of the State as to why rates of petrol and diesel and domestic gas cylinders are higher than that of any other state of the country.
The meeting was attended by district Congress head Mahesh Soni, Azad Yadav, Ravi Rai, Hemantsingh Chouhan, Nana Tilkar, Amanat Ullah Khan, Hafiz Qureshi, Jitu Anjana, Pratik Jain, Montu Chandel, Varun Choube, Vaibhav Sisodiya and senior leaders of the party.
