Ujjain: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the Mahakaleshwar temple on the last Monday of Shravan. Accompanied by his wife and son, he performed worship and ‘abhishek’ at the inner sanctum of the temple and prayed for the well being, health and prosperity of the State and country. He also prayed at the Siddhi-Vinayak temple, Bhadrakali temple and Sakshi-Gopal temple situated in the Mahakal temple premises.
The CM arrived in city at 10am and was received at the helipad by senior administrative officers and BJP leaders including energy minister Paras Jain, UDA chairman Jagdish Agrawal, mayor Meena Jonwal, Member of Parliament Chintamani Malviya and divisional commissioner MB Ojha, amongst others.
Campaigners of ‘Mission Tiranga’, Urvashi Jain and Kanishk Parihar also met the CM during his arrival in the city and informed him about its mission of motivating people to hoist the national flag at home on Independence Day. The CM ensured them of full support and said he would spread the message amongst common people by tweeting about it.
Prosecution officer ties rakhi on CM
President of prosecution officers association, Anita Shukla tied a rakhi on the Chief Minister and also handed him a memorandum regarding the revision of pay scale for prosecution officers.
