Ujjain: Civic body okays 7th pay panel benefits to its staffers

Ujjain: A meeting of Ujjain Municipal Corporation, led by president Sonu Gehlot, was held on Thursday. During the meeting, members discussed 22 issues and also okayed benefit of the 7th Pay Commission for corporation employees.

During the meeting, several issues were also resolved by the members. They were  denotification of slum dwellers under PM Awas Yojana, allotment of temporary shops for Ganesh festival, transfer of work like central lighting/street lights/high-mast performed by PWD increase in the tenure of rent agreement of UCO Bank located at Grand Hotel complex, restructuring of Kapila Gaushala, use of LED lights instead of CFL in street lights, renovation works in Ayurvedic hospital, Chimanganj Mandi.

In the beginning A condolence meeting was held and members paid rich tributes to to former prime minister Atal Behari  Vajpayee.  Mayor Meena Jonwal, Commissioner Pratibha Pal, LOO Rajendra Vashishtha, MIC member Satyanarayan Chouhan, corporator Maya Trivedi, Santosh Vyas and several other corporation members and officials were present in the assembly.
