Ujjain: Body of 22-year-old youth was found floating at Narsingh Ghat on Sunday late night. The deceased has been identified as Akash Jatav, a ward boy of CHL Hospital, by his father.

Akash’s father had filed a missing report at Neelganga police station on Sunday as he did not return home from duty. Akash left home for duty on Saturday evening but did not return after his duty hours, his father told police.

Hospital authorities have confirmed that Akash was working as a ward boy in their hospital and had reported to duty on Saturday evening but left after few hours saying he wanted to attend a party with his friends.

During investigating police found an abandoned bike at Narsingh Ghat area on Sunday morning and later a body floating in the river. Akash’s father reached at the ghat and recognised the body as his son’s. A plastic bag was found stuffed in the mouth of the body. Akash’s father said his son was murdered by somebody and police should arrest persons behind the murder soon. Neelganga police have started investigation into the case and are waiting for the autopsy report.
