INDORE: Two persons were nabbed while two others managed to escape after robbing a truck driver and cleaner at knifepoint on Monday night.

According to ASP Rakesh Singh and Vijay Nagar Police station CSP Suraj Verma, on Monday night driver Ranjeet Choudhary of Nasik and his cleaner Indrabhan Yadav of Unao loaded their truck with onions and left for Guwahati.

As they reached Bhosa Khedi on Ring road, their truck ran out of diesel and Indrabhan fetched the fuel. The duo were trying to get the truck started when four men riding two scooters came over and climbed the truck and flashing a knife they snatched Rs 70000 along with Aadhar Card, driving licence.

The driver had noted registration number of one scooter and called the police and the message of robbery was flashed on wireless to patrolling cops.

Based on the registration tag, Bhawarkuwa police intercepted two scooters and men. Two men managed to escape while the other two were nabbed. The men were identified as Irfan Mansoori (20) of Kabootarkhana and Javed Khan (19) of Noori Nagar while the escaped accused were identified as Mubarik Khan of Rajwada and Akram of Tarana and a search is on for them.

The police also recovered the aadhar card, driving licence along with Rs 1000 from the two arrested accused. DIG Santosh Kumar Singh has announced reward of Rs 20,000 to police personnel responsible for the arrests.
