Omkareshwar : Before the start of Simhasth Kumbh-Mahaparv 2016, in Ujjain; the businessmen of Omkareshwar have been observing indefinite ‘bandh’ from Wednesday, in protest against local administration’s anti-encroachment drive. All the shops and other markets of this pilgrimage centre have been closed.

Call was given by shopkeepers to oppose anti-encroachment drive

Meanwhile, with the help of local police force, the administration has removed some encroachments from some areas of town like opposite local Jhula Pul, Mamleshwar Road and others. When local shopkeepers started to oppose administration’s drive, the administrative officials gave warning to shopkeepers that if they would not remove illegal construction of their shops and other business establishments willingly; administration will remove them.

Opposing administration’s move, the shopkeepers have been observing indefinite ‘bandh’. The shopkeepers said that unless administration would not stop anti-encroachment drive, they will not open their shops.
