Mhow : English and Hindi debate teams of Army Public School, Mhow competed with eight other Army Schools to clinch the title of Cluster-level Debate Competition and got selected for the prestigious Command-level.
Seven Army schools including Army Public School, Mhow participated in the competition and Mhow students once again brought laurels to the school by winning English as well as Hindi debate competition.
The English debate team of Alakshendra Singh, Anusha Tiwari and Shaurya Singh Chaturvedi bagged the coveted School Winner’s Trophy.
Anusha was also adjudged the ‘Best Speaker’ against the motion. Students of Hindi debate team were Ayush Chaturvedi, Suhani Iyer and Aryan who also won the Winner’s Trophy.
Dr Kalpana Shrivastava and Noopur Chaturvedi mentored the students for English debate while Dr Pramod Shrivas guided the Hindi debate team. The team managers were Ayrina Sharma and Navneet Tripathi.
Lt Gen Rajeev Sabharwal VSM, Commandant MCTE, patron Army Public School Mhow, chairman Brig Sheode P Manohar, executive officer Col John Prince, school principal PK Tiwari, vice-principal and staff congratulated the winners, their mentors and parents.
The support and inputs of parents were also acknowledged and appreciated. Students were encouraged to participate in the national-level debate competition with same zeal and enthusiasm and make the school and parents proud.
The Command-level Hindi and English debate competition will be held in Lucknow on October 17 and at Secunderabad on November 22, respectively.
