Mhow : Inter-school drawing and solo dance competition were organised at St Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Mhow on Saturday.
The competitions were held in the secondary and primary sections. In the secondary section, the competition began by lighting the lamp invoking God’s blessing which was presided over by principal Sr Elsa and vice-principal Sr Rita, Shubhangi Joshi from Shri Sai Academy and Saraswati Swami from Christina Convent School.
Participants presented their creative ideas and conveyed the message to save environment through medium of colours. The competition was judged by Sanjeev Singh Chouhan and Rajesh Dukariya.
In category ‘A’ Mohit Patidar (Shri Sai Academy) bagged the first place, Neha Sharma (Christian Convent) clinched the second position while third place went to Maulika Joshi (Army Public School).
Dhruv Tiwari (Rajeshwar Vidyalaya) and Agastya Sada (Shri Sai Academy) were given consolation prizes.
In Category ‘B’, Nikhilesh Yumnam (Army Public School) bagged the first place, Raman Singh (Rajeshwar Vidyalaya) took the second position and the third place went to Priyanka Singh (Little Angles).
Palash Solanki (Rajeshwar Vidyalaya) and Asutosh Chouhan (Army Public School) were given consolation prizes.
The judges appreciated the budding talents and also gave them valuable tips to enhance their skills. The competition was conducted by Varsha Rajneesh, Mitali Pathak, Khushboo Goyal, Maya Dubey and Jayati Majde.
The primary wing witnessed solo dance competition which was organized for various schools of the town. The judges of the event were Sachin Maheshwari and Naman Sogani Jain. Many schools participated in the competition.
Ishita Gaud of St Norbert School, Rangwasa claimed the first position, followed by Ananya Baheti from Emerald Height International School and Sneha Meena from La Sagesse School.
Ayesha Khan welcomed the gathering. School headmistress Sr Deepa presented the mementos to the judges.
Ritu Chandwani proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was conducted by Pushpa Mani, Ayesha Khan, Neha Sahu, Ritu Chandwani and Daisy Sebastian.
The Judges lauded the efforts and distributed prizes among the winners. They said that such activities play an important role in overall development and confidence building of children. The programme concluded with refreshments.
