SSC CGL Tier I Examination 2018: New dates to be announced soon

The examination date for the SSC which is Staff Selection Commission CGL Tier 1 is be announced soon. As per an official notification by SSC, the examination of SSC CGL Tier I was to be held from 25 July to 20 August. But according to the new exam calendar released by commission on ssc.nic.in. the dates of the exam were changed. In a notice released by SSC said that exam were postponed due to administrative reasons.

According to Times Now, the reports said that the examinations are expected to be conducted in the month of September and October of this year. The report also suggested that RRB ALP and Technicians Posts examinations are reasons for the delay in the SSC examinations.

Sources have suggested that the exam centres currently being used for the RRB ALP and Technicians Posts exam are also used by SSC for conducting their examination. The dates were postponed to avoid clashes. SSC CGL examination notification were released on 5 May. The same day application process started. The last date for application was 4 June.

India Today reported that candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Tier 1 and Tier 2 examination, followed by Tier 3, which will be essay based. Those candidates who got selected on the Tier 3 exam will have to appear for the Tier 4 examinations.
