Indore : As Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach here to attend a meet at Ninnora on Saturday, the Special Protection Group (SPG) made special arrangements for the PM’s security at city airport on Friday.

An officer of IG-rank is manning the entire security arrangements of Modi. He is also coordinating with the officers of the CISF and local police.

However, local police are being kept out of the PM security at the airport. The airport sources said that though they were not informed by the SPG to stop operation of domestic flights before the arrival of PM’s special aircraft, Air India’s Indore-New Delhi flight’s scheduled departure at 10.10 pm and an Indigo flight would be affected.

However, sources said that passengers would not be hit due to the VVIP movement.

Five copters including four from Army were landed at the city airport on Thursday. In an IAF helicopter, the PM and Sri Lankan President will be taken to Ninnora (Ujjain).
