Mandana Karimi, who was known for her controversial and arrogant behaviour in the Bigg Boss house, has recently filed a domestic violence case against her husband Gaurav Gupta at Andheri magistrate court. The model-actress asked in her petition that she needs maintenance to the extent of Rs 10 lakh per month for her basic needs, necessities and requirements, besides a compensation of Rs 2 crore for the trauma and agony caused, and loss of career and business.
Her petition also mentioned that Gupta insisted on her conversion to Hinduism ahead of their wedding. She was also asked to quit her acting career as the profession was deemed “incompatible with his family’s status in the society”. Moreover, she also claimed that her mother-in-law harassed her badly.
Mandana, giving her statement to Mid-Day, said, “I was thrown out of my matrimonial house seven weeks ago. I made desperate attempts to reconcile with them, but my in-laws didn’t allow me back. Gaurav has cut me off.” Apparently, Mandana’s lawyer Madhukar Dalvi also said that the case is in the court whereas PR of Gaurav Gupta said that he was unavailable to comment about it.
The duo got hitched with each other on January 25, this year.
