New Delhi : A city court on Thursday ordered Delhi Police to file an action taken report (ATR) before the next hearing on April 7 on a complaint of sedition and conspiracy filed against former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Vice-President Hamid Ansari and others who attended a meeting with Pakistani officials at the residence of suspended former Congress MP Mani Shankar Aiyar here on December 6.

BJP leader and Supreme Court lawyer Ajay Agrawal, who moved the court after police did not register his FIR (first information report) to book these VIPs under sedition and conspiracy charges, said he would go to the High Court as Metropolitan Magistrate Manika refused his prayer to advance the next date of hearing on the ground that the matter was “sensitive.”

She also directed him to supply copies of all documents to the court that he wants to rely upon and which will become the basis for the police ATR. She sought documents also on his demand to register a case against Aiyar allegedly uttering “derogatory” word “neech” against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
