VIDISHA: Woman and child development department conducted a day-long workshop at Government High School, Karariya. The programme was inaugurated by town inspector Prakash Sharma. Lado Abhiyan in-charge Mukesh Tamrakar gave information about the Child Marriage Prevention Act.

Principal of the school spoke on child marriages. He also expressed his views on education of the girl child and the Lado Abhiyan. ICDS supervisor Neha Raghuvansi administered oath to students and others for the prevention of child marriages. Shashi Meena, development officer expressed views on savings schemes. Mamta Sen spoke on save girl, teach girl and Lado Abhiyan. Maneesh Vishwakarma told about helpline. From Nehru youth centre Neha Shakya and Ramsia Badhel and Nepal Singh Jadon appealed to join Lado Abhiyan.

 Those who attended the programme were Motisingh Jadon, Dhanshyam Singh Jadone, Sadhna Sen, Jasoda Sahu, and many others along with students and teachers.
