INDORE: Retina scan biometric machines have been installed on the RNT Marg campus of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya on Tuesday to monitor attendance of employees.
But the protest over the new facility also began with employees saying that officials have been exempted from registering their attendance on the machines.
“If any new system has been introduced in the university for attendance it should be for all, irrespective of grades of the officials,” said DAVV Employees (non-teaching) Association president Anil Yadav.
He said that the machines should also be installed on UTD campus for monitoring attendance of university teachers.
Vice-chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad said that attendance of all employees, officials and teachers would be monitored through retina scan biometric machines.
We have installed machines on RNT Marg campus and soon the same would be installed on UTD campus also.
