Reminiscence of old times as Chhagan Bhujbal-Uddhav Thackeray meet

Mumbai: Since the time former deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, Chhagan Bhujbal’s incarceration, Shiv Sena, his original party from where he became a Mayor, has turned sympathetic towards Bhujbal it is understood. Bhujbal met Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday after he had quit the Shiv Sena.

Since then, there was no communication between Bhujbal and Uddhav, however, as an old Sainik said, “Old ties do not die.” The duo recently met at a wedding of the police commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Padmanathan’s son on Saturday. They were seen talking to each other for a while, as Member of Parliament, Sanjay Raut too was present. Many, close to both, feel there has always been a nostalgic feeling between Sena and Bhujbal.

“The mystery of their conversation, lied in the bouquet which they kept next each other,” said an observer. Obviously, that meeting led to a lot of speculation in the political circles. The speculation is abound, since recently, Bhujbal’s nephew Sameer had gone to Matoshree bungalow to visit Uddhav. At that time, Uddhav had enquired about Bhujbal’s health and asked him to take care. When asked of his meeting, Bhujbal said, “I was a Shiv Sainik for 25 years, there is always some nostalgic touch to it. Ties cannot break so easily.”
