Inspector General, BSF Anil Paliwal confirmed this to ANI.
However, Paliwal said this sometimes happens as abundant boats of fishermen from Pakistan come near the border with flow of water.
He said the boat was seized but nothing was found within it, adding that an investigation is currently underway.
Indian Coast Guard ship Samudra Pavak apprehended a Pakistan boat earlier on October 2 off the Gujarat Coast.
The boat, along with its nine crew members, was escorted to Porbandar for a joint investigation.
