Indore: A 40-year-old property dealer was shot dead by armed assailants in his car at a deserted location under Kanadia police station limit here on Wednesday.
Police are investigating old rivalry and property dispute.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Mukesh Yadav, 36, a resident of Chitkhana, Khudel. His body was found in his Swift car near Jhalariya village. He received two bullets on his temple and rear side. The body was found on the driving seat.
Jagdish Goel, in-charge of Kanadiya police station, said that Mukesh was a property dealer. He left his house around 8 pm on Tuesday for taking money from someone. Later, he told his wife, Kavita that he was on his way back home and will reach with in half-an-hour but he did not return.
Victim’s father Ramesh started searching for him when Mukesh did not reach home till late night and his mobile phone was switched-off. Family members also informed the police on Wednesday morning about his missing. After a few hours, someone informed the police about a body in a car.
After receiving information, an FSL team along with police reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy.
The police also recovered a bullet from the car. The police could not get any clue about the killers till late Wednesday night. They are trying to trace the accused and also trying to know from whom he had gone to collect money.
“We are investigating the matter on all aspects including property dispute and statements of his family members are also being taken to know about the accused, TI Goel said.
