Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum-opus Padmaavat has been facing extreme protest from Shri Rajput Karni Sena and other fringe groups for allegedly distorting historical facts. The film is all set to release on January 25, however, the protesters are threatening to vandalise the theatres in various states in India. But amidst all, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh government have taken good initiative and supported the film.
Reportedly, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh ensured the cinemas to provide additional securities during the release of the film. In fact, police officials and the administrative offices of the Chief Ministers of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis and CM of Chhattisgarh, Dr Raman Singh, have promised the worried exhibitors and cinema owners of additional security and protection.
Moreover, as per trade expert, Akshaye Rathi ( film distributor) revealed on Twitter in some of his tweets, “Met senior officers from the police department and senior politicians of the region to appeal for protection of cinemas during the run of #Padmaavat. Have been assured full support by both. Have full faith in the @Dev_Fadnavis and @drramansingh governments. Law and order will prevail!”
“As legitimate, tax paying businessmen, members of our delegation were relieved to see the positive response to our plea by the @Dev_Fadnavis and @drramansingh administration. Today, I can say that I am proud to be invested in Maharashtra & Chhattisgarh! #Padmaavat.”
“The least that any tax paying business would expect is safety and security. Both @Dev_Fadnavis and @drramansingh’s administrative teams have given us the confidence that @narendramodi ji’s vision of EASE OF DOING BUSINESS is a reality in Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh! #Padmaavat.”
Well, it seems like Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer Padmaavat is going to have at least smooth release in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and other non-protesting states. Padmaavat is releasing in 2D, 3D, IMAX 3D formats.
