Padmaavat Row: Actress Renuka Shahane voices her opinion on the whole controversy

Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ is facing lots of controversy and protest from Karni Sena for complete ban on movie.

Padmaavat is set to release on January 25 all over the country. On this actress Renuka Shahane shared her opinion with Free Press Journal talking on ban on the film and other things. Renuka Sahane said that, “I have many Rajput friends who’ve worked on the film and have seen it. They say there is nothing in the film that will hurt Rajput pride.”

“According to me the film should be released in the theatres and all those who want to see it should be able to see it safely. And those who have problems should not see it,” she added.

“If the people who are demanding a ban of the film had seen the film then at least it would make some sense. If even after the Supreme Court directive these protesters are protesting then It’s more about their ego than some actual problem with the film,” she said. “No political party is coming forward to tell them to stop their protests,” she said.
