Ousted Pahlaj Nihalani goes on a rampage against Anurag Kashyap and Ekta Kapoor

Pahlaj Nihalani’s ouster from CBFC is probably the biggest development in the film industry. Well, the ex-chief had made every producer and director sleepless by his strict rules and regulations while passing the film. However, after his ouster, many filmmakers and producer are now taking a sigh of relief.

But it seems like Pahlaj has not forgotten his termination from the position of CBFC chief as he has slammed many filmmakers and producers in the interview with Hindustan Times. While talking to the daily, the ex-CBFC chief expressed his feelings after getting sacked without mincing words.

From Anurag Kashyap to Ekta Kapoor, the Sanskari Pahlaj has slammed many people in his comment. He said, “I was never power-hungry. Anurag Kashyap said once that I derived pleasure from humiliating filmmakers who came to the CBFC to get their movies certified. That I’d make them stand for hours as I lectured them. Would Kashyap like to prove what he said? Or does he think he can scare me through the bullying tactics that he is well-known for?”

Moreover, when he was reminded about other filmmakers who had also criticised him, he said, “Who are these filmmakers? Hansal Mehta? Mukesh Bhatt? Prakash Jha? Ekta Kapoor? Tell me, which film of theirs has been a success? Ekta Kapoor spent many years spreading twisted perverse values through Indian soaps. Now she is doing the same on the web. Some people never change, and they now want rational elements in society to also become degenerate.”

Well, it seems like Sanskari Pahlaj is now turned to Hinsak Pahlaj. After all, his termination made everyone happy. Moreover, now Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has now appointed writer Prasoon Joshi as the Chief of CBFC. Also, actress Vidya Balan has been roped in as a part of the committee. It would be interesting to see how these filmmakers react to these comments made by Pahlaj Nihalani.
