Mumbai : Maryland United SC worked hard to clinch a hard-fought 1-0 win against Fire Dragons SC in a Round-3 match of the 2nd Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL), conducted under the auspices of MDFA by the Borivali Sports Foundation and played at the St. Francis D’Assisi Ground, Borivali (W).

The hero of United’s solitary goal victory was Oneil D’Souza, who scored the all-important winner early in the second half to help his team collect the full three points. The ‘Big Boss Player of the Match’ award went to Vicky Shah of Fire Dragons.

In another round-3 encounter, Fleet Footers SC had things much their own way as they romped to a facile 5-0 win over Shelar SC. The highlight of Fleet Footers big was the double strikers from Tushar Poojary, who scored the opening goal and fourth goal. Tushar’s teammates Digvijay Yadav (2nd goal), Nishant Shetty 3rd goal) and Ramesh Singh (5th goal), played good supporting roles with a goal each to round off the winning tally.
