Burhanpur: A meeting of district-level standing committee was held at the collectorate office here on Saturday which issued orders on the code of conduct for the Nepanagar Vidhansabha by-polls which was declared by Election Commission of India (ECI) recently.

During the meeting the collector and district election officer Deepak Singh instructed the political parties not to use more than three vehicles for their election campaign and also provided them with information about the letter of nomination, vehicle registration, property distortion act, printing of election material and Representation Act.

Singh clarified that it is mandatory for the political parties to obtain necessary permission from the concerned authority to use sound amplifier devices like loudspeakers, adding that they cannot be used between 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

SP Anilsingh Kushwah, district panchayat CEO Basand Kurre, deputy district election officer ML Arya, Nepanagar SDM Anil Sapkale, various other officials and representative of political parties were present in the meeting.
