Mumbai: Youth drowns at former MBMC corporator’s farmhouse

Mumbai: A 30-year-old youth drowned in a swimming pool at a farmhouse of former corporator of Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) Suhas Rakvi at Gorai in Borivali (west). “Around 50 family members of medical association stores from Mira Bhayandar had gone for picnic to Rakvi bungalow in Gorai. One Kunal Luniya prima facie died due to drowning in swimming pool of bungalow,” said Mumbai police spokesperson Dr. Rashmi Karandikar.

Rakvi, who was earlier in Congress party, has recently joined Shiv Sena. The Gorai police have registered accidental death report (ADR) in the matter and initiated investigation. “ADR information is given by father of deceased,” said Karandikar. Luniya’s body has been sent to Temba hospital at Bhayandar for post mortem.
