Mumbai: Youth assaulted by his superior at Bhandup

Mumbai: A 22-year-old youth was assaulted by his superior at Mahalaxmi Infotech at Bhandup on Wednesday morning.
Akash Krishnakant Mishra (22), who works at a computer technician at the Mahalaxmi Infotech was assaulted by his superior Viresh Kanhaiylal Thakkar on Wednesday morning at 10:30 am. As per the instructions of his senior, Mishra had visited the Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) at Bhandup.

After returning to office, he was asked to again go to the client’s house to repair the computer. Mishra told Thakkar that he repaired the computer as per his knowledge. So he asked Thakkar to send some other technician. Thakkar got enraged and abused Mishra in filthy language. Thakkar pulled Mishra by the collar and punched him on his stomach and face. Mishra fell unconscious and fell on the floor.

As per the First Information Report (FIR), Mishra asked Thakkar to take him to the hospital. However, Thakkar did not comply neither did he allow him to go home. Mishra made a phone call to his father Krishnakant (46) who visited his son’s office to take him along.

Ramesh Khade, police inspector, Bhandup police said, “A First Information Report has been registered on Wednesday night. No arrest has been made as yet.” Thakkar has been booked for wrongful confinement (Section 342), voluntarily causing hurt (Section 323) and criminal intimidation (Section 506) of the Indian Penal Code.
