Mumbai University plans chopper ride for its students

Mumbai: The Mumbai University will take its students on a helicopter ride for Mumbai darshan on March 28, 2017 on an experimental basis. The ride will be initiated as a test drive at the helipad area of the university along with Pawan Hans which is a helicopter service company. The cost of the ride on a regular basis will be decided by Pawan Hans after the test drive.

The move has come after a memorandum of understanding was signed on Thursday between the Garware Institute of Career Education and Pawan Hans Limited at the university. A dual qualification course in Bachelor of Science (Aeronautics) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering has been launched by the Pawan Hans Helicopter Training Institute in association with Mumbai University.
