Mumbai: Two people have been arrested in connection with the brawl that took place in the Dahisar-based bar and restaurant Hotel Raj Palace on Monday late night over payment of bill. A cross case has been registered in Dahisar police station.

Those who have been arrested – Ishwarlok Pujari and Prasad Shetty – are staffers of the bar and they have been booked under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.

The customers who have been booked include Suraj Shetty, Vicky Kapoor, Niraj Singh and Armaan. However, none of them have been arrested. Most of the customers were party workers of BJP’s youth wing from Mira Road, said the police.

Staffers of the bar had an argument with the group of customers over payment of bill. Soon the argument tur-ned into fisticuffs in which many of them from both the sides got injured. The bar was damaged in the fight, said police. At least four people got injured in the scuffle. They were taken to nearby hospital and there condition is stable. Nine of the customers have been booked in a case of rioting, said Dahisar police, and added that five staff members of the bar have been booked. The city police is scrutinising the CCTV footage. The probe is underway.
