MUMBAI: THE Sessions Court granted bail to All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) corporator Shahnawaz Hussain Shaikh and two others in Cheeta Camp riot case.

The Mumbai Police had booked Shahnawaz (35), Raja Edinboro (35) and Mohammad Imran (30) for attempt to murder, rioting and damage to public property. They added that it was allegedly Shaikh who instigated the mob. The defence advocate Abbad Ponda and advocate Ratnakar Dawre had argued in the court that the alleged accused Shahnawaz and others were not present at the place of incidence. In fact they had gone to register the FIR against the person who had posted the morphed image.
