Mumbai: The NM Joshi Marg police have seized the car of Yug Tuli, the co-owner of Mojo Bistro who is presently absconding. According to Virendra Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3), “On January 6, Yug Tuli’s car, Jeep Compass Limited 2.0D, an SUV was captured on CCTV camera while it was overspeeding at Cyberabad. Tuli was found seated inside the car. We have seized the car at Cyberabad.”
As per an e-challan of Rs.1435 which was issued to Tuli, the place of violation is Chennama hotel, Rajendra Nagar at Cyberabad. The car has been registered under the name of Navjyot Kaur Tuli, the mother of Yug. The registration number of the car is JH05BX7900. The vehicle has been manufactured under FCA India Automobiles Private Limited. The SUV was purchased two and a half months ago.
According to an officer, “Tuli had booked a plane ticket two days ago from Delhi to Nagpur for him and his wife Pratina.” According to Jay Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police (central region), “His wife is a Nepali and holds a British passport.”
The police claim that they are aware about the whereabouts of the accused Tuli and he will be arrested soon. Meanwhile, the investigators claim that the arrested accused Kripesh Sanghvi and Jigar Sanghvi, the owners of 1Above were hiding at their native place at Palitana at Rajasthan.
According to an investigating officer, “The arrested builder turned bookie Vishal Kariya informed us about the whereabouts of Sanghvis and their partner Abhijit Mankar. A team of Criminal Investigation Department officers were also keeping an eye on the residence of the accused, their office premises and the movements of their relatives since more than a week. When we got the information that the Sanghvis were going to visit KFC mall at Bandra, we arrested them.”
