Finally, the wait is over for FYJC students as the first-come, first served (FCFS) rounds will begin from today, where more than 76,000 seats are available. The students can check the tutorial for the process, for claiming seats under FCFS rounds, uploaded by the state education department on its official website https://mumbai.11thadmission.net/.
According to Hindustan Times, in addition, there are 19,094 vacant seats in various quotas across minority and non-minority institutes in the city. These seats are not a part of FCFS rounds. The list of vacant seats for FCFS rounds was released by the state education department on Saturday. Around 16,000 students in MMR are still to get a seat.
In the special merit list, 47,576 students applied out of which 8,567 secured seats. Students can apply for the FCFS rounds in phases. Those scoring 80% and above can pick from the vacant seats on August 27, followed by those scoring 60% and above on August 29. Those who have scored 35% and above can choose from seats available on August 31.
