Mumbai: Those not happy with seats allotted to them in First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions have a last chance to try for a better seat. The process for special round begins on Sunday.

This round was brought in specially this year after a court order that mandated that no admissions take place through the offline mode.

All those who want to change their allotted college, faculty or medium can participate in this round. The candidates should not cancel their present admissions to take part in this round. They must check the seat vacancies in different colleges on the website before applying for up to 15 colleges.

On 7 and 8 August, candidates should go to the guidance centres and get new login ID and password for this round.

The new forms must be filled online on 9 and 10 August. “Those who cannot afford private colleges should take care to apply in aided colleges in their locality,” said an official.

Those who want to apply through quota should get their application form approved by the guidance centre first.

The first special merit list will be declared on August 11 at 5 pm.
