Mumbai: FIR filed against actor Kamaal R Khan at Bandra police station for derogatory remark against LGBTQ community

Self-claimed film critic Kamaal R Khan, famously known as KRK, has landed himself in trouble as an FIR has been filed against him for making derogatory remarks against LGBTQ community. As per the reports, the FIR is filed by a Vadodara-based student Ujjawal Krishnam seeking action against Khan. According to TimesNow, KRK has been booked for obscenity, promoting communal disharmony, passing statements aimed at causing hatred or enmity between classes and defamation under the IPC.

Earlier, in a video on his YouTube channel, KRK can be heard making derogatory remarks using offensive language towards the specific community. Krishnam has filed an FIR at Bandra police station after Gujarat police asked him to approach Mumbai Police.

Meanwhile, according to the TimesNow report, the video was uploaded a day after SC verdict on Section 377. SC, in its verdict on September 7, decriminalised same-sex relations.
