Mumbai: Ekta Kapoor files police complaint after Rs 60,000 cash goes missing from handbag

Well-known film producer and director Ekta Kapoor has registered a complaint after she found that Rs 60,000 cash was missing from the handbag.

According to Mid-Day, the incident took place on Saturday and it came to light when Kapoor lifted her handbag and it felt lighter. After this, Kapoor counted the cash and that is when it came to light that Rs 60,000 of the Rs 1.5 lakh cash was missing. Immediately, Kapoor approached the Juhu police and registered a complaint.

It is suspected to be the handiwork of someone working in her Juhu bungalow. The Juhu police have formed a team to investigate the case and till now have questioned five people including the driver and domestic help. The cops also scanning CCTV footages to find out whether if any outsider has committed the crime. The Juhu police have registered a case under section 379 of IPC and have made no arrest so far.
