Mumbai: Bhim Army stage protest, demand renaming of Dadar stn

Mumbai: More than 50 members of Bhim Army, under the leadership of Raju Kamble, protested near the Swami Narayan Mandir, outside Dadar railway station demanding to rename Dadar Station as Dr Ambedkar Terminus. Holding posters, placards, banners these members of the Bhim Army shouted slogans as they boldly pasted stickers of Dr Ambedkar Terminus in the station name boards.

“We along with our 50 members staged a protest outside Dadar Station pressing for our demands of renaming Dadar Station as Dr Ambedkar Terminus. We also put up stickers with the name Dr Ambedkar Terminus at all the name boards of Dadar Station,” said Raju Zanke, member of Bhim Army.

Zanke further added that earlier in November, they had handed over a letter to CM Devendra Fadnavis regarding the same. Letters to Railway’s DRM in this regard has also been sent and have also requested to bring it to the notice of railway minister, Piyush Goyal. Police somehow handled the situation quite calmly and no arrests were made so far.
