Mumbai: Actor Inder Kumar, best known for his roles in movies such as ‘Wanted’ and ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’, passed away following a massive heart attack at his residence in Andheri’s Four Bungalows early Friday morning. He was 45. “He suffered a cardiac arrest. It happened around 2 a.m. on Friday. He was not suffering from any heart-related disease. He was a healthy man,” said Kariya, Inder Kumar’s ex-father-in-law.
Soon, condolences poured in from the different parts of the industry. Actress Raveena Tandon was one of the first to react, “Omg shocking news. Worked with him in “Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi”, too young to go. May his soul rest in peace. God give strength to his family,” the ‘Shab’ actor tweeted. “Deeply saddened by untimely demise of Inder Kumar. Have acted with him in few films. He was very simple, humble and a very committed actor,” tweeted actor Anupam Kher.

Inder Kumar worked in over 20 films in a career spanning nearly twenty years. He was best known for playing supporting roles in Bollywood films such as Tirchhi Topiwale (1998), Kahi Pyar Na Ho Jaaye (2000), Paying Guest (2009) and Wanted (2009). Inder, last seen in the 2011 film Yeh Dooriyan, was currently shooting for his next film Phati Paid Hai Yaar. Inder also briefly played Mihir Virani in Ekta Kapoor’s popular TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The actor was quite close to Salman Khan’s family as the two actors have worked together on several projects. He is survived by his wife Pallavi Saraf.
