In a very horrifying incident, a 36-year-old man died after the roof of a car pierced into his head on Saturday. The incident took place after a road accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

According to Hindustan Times, the deceased has been identified as Dagru Jaid (36). Jaid was a farmer from Khed village, Pune and was travelling with two friends. Jaid had come to Mumbai for some work. The incident took place around 9.45 pm when Jaid and his friends were returning home. The accident took place when they were crossing Panvel. An unidentified vehicle hit them from behind.

A police officer from Khandeshwar police station told the leading daily, “Jaid was sitting in the backseat. The impact of the accident was such that the roof of the car was smashed and the metal sheet pierced into his head. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, he died during treatment. The two others who suffered minor injuries were discharged in a few hours.” The cops are now investigating the accident and are trying to find out the registration number of the vehicle and its driver who fled the spot.
