Mumbai: 18-year-old youth accidentally shot by his friend while filming a music video

On Tuesday, an 18-year-old youth was seriously injured after a friend of his shot him accidentally with a country-made pistol while filming a music video.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the incident took place on Tuesday evening at Kisan Nagar, Thane. According to the Srinagar police, Akshay Pawar, Vijay Yadav, and Avadesh Yadav were shooting a video they intended to post on social media in a godown belonging to a friend. While filming the video they were using a country-made pistol as a prop.

The loaded pistol accidentally went off while filming and seriously injured Vijay Yadav. When the loaded pistol went off, after which the bullet entered his stomach and travelled to his thigh. After the incident, Vijay Yadav was rushed to the hospital by his friends. The cops have arrested Akshay Pawar, one of Vijay’s friends, who is a driver with a mobile app-based taxi service. Vijay is still in ICU and recovering.

In the meanwhile, the cops are investigating the incident and are questioning Pawar from where he got hold of the pistol. The cops have booked Pawar under sections 336 (endangering the life or personal safety of others) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others) of IPC, along with the Arms Act.
