Paper conducted despite the leak, UFM case on three students , Student belong to Nalanda Academy.
Ujjain : Minutes before the examination Madhya Pradesh State Education Board (MPBSE) commenced, the photographs of pages of the Mathematics question paper went viral on WhatsApp, here on Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 7.25 am in the morning whereas the paper chests could only be opened at 8.15 am. The police has registered a case of using unfair means in the examination against three students also the examination was not cancelled and the paper was conducted. One Sandip Rathore, resident of Dewas is on scanner of police, through whose number local students received the copies of paper.
The Cyber Crime cell of Madhav Nagar police has started investigating the matter. “The board officials have given a written complaint to the cyber crime cell. We received complaints from one Sandip Devale, chief invigilator of Kalidas Senior Secondary School. It looks like a copying case prima facie. We are investigating. As of now, re-examination is not being discussed”, said District Education Officer Sanjay Goel. “We have received the application filed by staff at Kalidasa Montessori School who confiscated mobile of a student during entry and found photographs of the paper to be held on it. An FIR under Unfair Means (3/4) has been registered in the matter as yet. We will conduct investigations and then decide on the further course of action,” said ASP Amrendra Singh.
The mobile in which Devale found the last page of the paper belong to Abhishek Bodana, student of Nalanda Academy. Abhishek during the interrogation spilled the beans saying he had received the paper from one Sandip Rathore, resident of Dewas. Two other students including Mayank Chouhan and Ayush Malviya, students of Nalanda Academy have been booked in the case. Sources said the officials of MPSEB rang up the officials of the Education Department, ordering the cancellation of the mathematics paper, at around 8.30 am. But by the time the officials could further communicate the cancellation orders, the paper had begun. The officials expressed their helplessness in communicating the orders in wake of no communication and a messenger had to be sent.
The controller said the board follows certain procedures in holding examinations. “The question papers are kept in police stations or treasuries. They are taken to the examination centres one hour before start of examinations. School principals accept the question papers or send some senior teachers,” he said. “What happened today is a matter of concern. How the question paper was leaked or whether it was leaked from a police station or some other source will become clear only after the inquiry. We hope the remaining examinations will take place smoothly”, DEO Sanjay Goel told Free Press.
