Ashrrita Chinchankar, daughter of an air hostess, achieved her dream career after becoming a pilot in Air India. But her mother’s dream came true recently when Ashrrita piloted her mother in her final flight before retirement. Ashrrita’s mother, an air hostess in Air India, wanted Ashrrita to pilot her last flight before retirement after a service of 38 years. Ashrrita fulfilled that dream and posted about the same on her Twitter profile, and the story got popular among many social media users.
Informing about her dream coming true, she had initially tweeted: “So happy and honoured to be able to pilot the one flight that mattered. It was my mum’s dream to have me pilot her last flight as an air hostess with Air India. As she retires after her glorious 38 years of service, I will be carrying on with her legacy.” That tweet posted on Monday proved a buzz on Twitter receiving almost 5,000 likes and 841 retweets so far.
Many people also asked Ashrrita to share the videos of her dream flight with her mother. Ashrrita obliged to the request and shared videos of the same after few hours. Look at the post below.
Air India, too, was not behind in joining Ashrrita in her celebrations. Air India congratulated them by tweeting, “Our heartfelt wishes to your mother and you for this special flight when she passes the baton on to you to have the privilege of serving our passengers with dedication. The legacy lives on.”
Ashrrita’s story got widely popular on the social media. Even the former aviation minister Praful Patel shared the story on his Twitter timeline and tweeted, “Some of the most heartwarming and pleasant stories are the ones that happen in real life”.
