Ujjain : Collector Sanket Bhondve on Saturday convened a meeting of district health committee at the office of Simahstha Fair Authority.
On this occasion Bhondve said more doctors should associate with ‘Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Yojana (PMSMA) for the benefit of women who are in need of their service.
He also instructed the officials concerned to appoint ‘Ayush doctors’ immediately.
Chief medical officer Dr VK Gupta, CS Dr Rajendra Nidariya and other staff members were present at the meeting.
During the meeting Dr Shashi Gupta informed the collector that 37 doctors have been registered under this scheme so far. She further stated that sonography tests worth Rs 8 lakh have been conducted on pregnant women under the scheme.
