New Delhi : BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday countered Rahul Gandhi’s charge against Prime Minister Modi that he helped business friend Anil Ambani, asserting that the Opposition could not find fault with the BJP government in the past three years.

In a statement, he praised Modi for his leadership in providing “a decisive, corruption-free and transparent” government, ushering in “politics of performance” and putting an end to the politics of casteism, dynasty and appeasement.

Shah cited a survey to claim “unparalleled popularity” of Modi as “nine out of ten Indians” expressed full trust on him and asserted that this was because India achieved success on every front since he became the prime minister. The country would continue to achieve successes under the leadership of Modi to establish it one day as ‘Vishwa Guru’, he said, pointing out that the popularity graph of Modi is continuously going up because of the way he handles things with ease.
