MeToo: ‘Gold’ actress Mouni Roy shuts trolls claiming she was harassed by Reema Kagti during shoot

The ongoing MeToo movement has given a chance to women to come out and speak about the heinous incidents they’ve faced. And recently Konkona Sen Sharma took to her Twitter and posted an official statement which had names like Reema Kagti Gauri Shinde, Kiran Rao and others, according to statement they will not work with the proven offenders.

After the post social media users called it as a hypocrisy saying that Reema is “known to sexually harass Mouni Roy during Gold movie”. And now Mouni has cleared the air and said she never faced any harassment during Gold.

The actress took to her Twitter account and wrote, “I was not harassed on the set of Gold by anyone. Director or otherwise. I wish this maligning would stop as it not only harassing me and Reema Kagti but also taking away from women that have truly been wronged.@konkonas @rachitmehrotra.”

Mouni played a lead role opposite Akshay Kumar in Gold. The movie performed well at the box office and also entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club.
