Indore : Mayor Malini Gaud inaugurated Shalby Hospital near Janjeerwala Square here on Wednesday. A 200-bed multi-specialty tertiary care hospital is coming up for the healthcare needs of the people.
This hospital is spread over a total built up area of 1,92,000 sq ft near Janjeerwala Square and it incorporates the latest treatments in healthcare covering all leading specialties like cardiology, cardiothoracic, vascular surgery, joint replacements and many other.
“Indore always needed such world class health care services and with the launch of this hospital it feels like a dream come true. I am overwhelmed at inaugurating this in our city,” Mayor Gaud said during the inauguration.
Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan sent his good wishes for the inauguration. The message said, “I am sure that with the presence of Shalby Hospital in the city, not only Indore but our entire Madhya Pradesh will benefit from the healthcare services of Shalby.”
Shalby is also known to be the world’s largest centre for joint replacement of both knee and hip with a record-breaking achievement of over 65000 joint replacements so far.
“Along with modern diagnostic services, we also have high-end Linear Accelerator (LINAC) to combat cancer, which is under installation,” shared officials with FPJ.
Shalby plans the commissioning of four more hospitals this year, which will cross the 2500 bed mark.

Dr Vikram Shah who started Shalby Hospitals in 1994 at Ahmedabad with a six-bedded hospital has attained the multi-specialty hospital chain status today with 1700 bed capacity in its fold. Shalby also operates over 50 OPD centers across the country and many more clinics in Africa and the Middle East.
