Marathi literature festival will be held at Yavatmal

YAVATMAL: Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district will be holding its 92nd All India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan. Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Mahamandal has made the same announcement on Tuesday. In order to organise the All India Literary Convention, nine institutions in the state and outside showed keen interest in their strong participation.

However, seven organisations had shown their inability to attend the meeting due to different reasons. Thereafter, the proposal remained for the corporation from Wardha and Yavatmal. After the withdrawal of Wardha, it was decided that the literature meeting will be held in Yavatmal. It was officially announced on Tuesday.

On the invitation of the convenor of Yavatmal, the meeting venue of the Board of Governors visited Yavatmal on August 5 and inspected the place for the meeting. In the meantime, the Board of Directors of Mahamandal is holding a meeting in Yavatmal on Oct. 26 to decide the detailed program of seminars and bibliography. The meeting will be held in Yavatmal on 27th October and the Mahamandal on 28 October.
