Kolkata : In her strongest attack on the central government till date for fuelling trouble in the Hills and plains of Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the NDA regime of “non-cooperation” with the state. She said that timely deployment of central reserve forces in Darjeeling could have prevented the crisis.
“There is a conspiracy to disturb Bengal and the international borders of the state. We have several times requested for the deployment of the central forces. Had they been deployed timely, the current situation could have been avoided,” the chief minister told reporters.
Mamata Banerjee also said that foreign forces close to the BJP had a hand in the Gorkhaland agitation.
