Maharashtra: Farmers get 7-day extension to apply for loan waiver

Mumbai: Minister for Cooperatives Subhash Deshmukh has announced that farmers will be given seven more days as extension to submit their applications for loan waiver. The new deadline is September 22. He was speaking at a felicitation ceremony for farmers held under the aegis of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Farmers Felicitation scheme. The previous deadline for submiting the applications was September 15. These applications to be submitted online. Till now the state government has received 96,59,740 applications, 49,56,305 are applications from families of farmers. “We have extended the deadline for the convenience of the farmers,” said Deshmukh.
