The Maharashtra Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam results were declared at 1 pm today.
A total of 13,19,754 students had appeared for this year HSC exams, of which 11,42,882 have passed.
The overall pass percentage for Maharashtra stands at 86.60 per cent, with the Konkan region witnessing the best results with a pass percentage of 93.29 per cent. In fact, Konkan region is the only one among the nine in Maharashtra to witness a above 90 per cent pass per centage.
The second best performing region is Kolhapur with 88.10 per cent followed by Aurangabad and Pune with 87.8 per cent and 87.26 per cent, respectively.
Mumbai stands at the seventh position in the overall nine Maharashtra, including Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan, with a total pass per centage of 86.08 per cent.
There were around 64,643 repeaters, of which 23,535 have cleared the test – thus giving a pass percentage of 36.41 per cent for the state.
In terms of sex-wise ratio, the girls have out-smarted the boys across all the nine regions in the state. The overall pass percentage of girls in Maharashtra stands at 90.50 per cent, while that of boys stands at 83.46 per cent.
