Khandwa: Officials deputed at Khadki village under Pandhana assembly constituency were embarrassed after no one from the village turned up to cast their vote. Notably, only four ASHA workers from the village, who are deputed to some other place on election duties, sent their postal ballot. Notably, the village has a total of 193 male and 165 female voters; all registered at polling booth no 210.

They were demanding proper road connectivity since long. They even announced to boycott the polls earlier, but none of the public representative or administration paid heed to their demand. As a result of that, they unanimously decided to boycott elections. Even officials who were deputed there made all attempts to convince the voters, but in vain. Villagers here told officials that they won’t vote until their public representatives listen to their plight.
